First Annual Miss Africa Bay Area Contest Held in Oakland

Omie Garbie is a West- African native, born in Gambia, who recently transitioned to Oakland to further her career. After competing in a pageant contest in Washington D.C last year, Garbie realized that pageantry was the best way to accomplish and achieve her goals. Garbie is the founder of Miss Africa Bay Area, where her main mission is to build a platform for young African women living in America to showcase their culture, talent & creativity. The winner of the contest will be the Brand Ambassador and face of the organization as well perform charity acts within the community.

The Miss Africa Bay Area Contest will be held Saturday Jan.7.2017 at 7:30 PM to 11:00PM at 341 13th st in Oakland CA
